Our Forest Gir Cow Ghee is made from milk produced by Gir Cows owned by the tribal population. Gir Cows are known for their high quality milk with a distinct flavour. Our Forest Gir Cow Ghee is made using the traditional “Bilona Method” and is made by curdling Gir Cow milk, then churning the curd into butter and then heating the butter on low heat to make ghee. The ghee made using bilona method retains a more complex and “nuttier” flavour, distinct aroma and more vitamins and beneficial fatty acids as it is exposed to lower heat.

Gir Cows are Desi breed cows and produce milk with higher A2 beta casein protein. A2 beta casein protein can be more suitable for individuals with lactose intolerance. Bilona Method Gir Cow Ghee retains more nutrients and beneficial fatty acids along with vitamins A and E.

The tribal population integrate their cattle with traditional farming practices. The animals graze freely on natural landscapes and are fed on natural sources like grass, leaves and locally available forage. The cows are not subjected to any antibiotics or growth hormones. We believe that tribal owned dairy is the only ethical way of milk production as the cattle is free roaming and live in a stress free environment.

We use no chemical additives or preservatives in our Forest Gir Cow Ghee. Our Gir Cow Ghee is 100% pure and genuine ghee made from the highest quality milk sourced from Forest Grazing Gir Cows owned by Tribal Population.

Whether you are interested in various health benefits or like the distinct flavour of Gir Cow ghee or want to support our initiative to support Tribal Population and their ethical dairy practices, our Forest Gir Cow Ghee will be a valued addition to your daily diet.
